HARDING

The Harding name enters my family when Sarah Harding married William Martin on the 6th May 1858. Sarah was born in Bury St Edmund’s, Suffolk, around 1834 if her age on 1881 census is correct. Her father, shown on her marriage certificate, was James Harding, a bricklayer, and I think I have found him on 1881 census living with wife Mary Ann in Bury St Edmonds. He is 80 and a bricklayer’s labourer, she is 76 and was born in Rattlesden, Suffolk.
