The Fosters come from Rickmansworth
and are connected to my family through the Martin side. The oldest
Foster I have is Phillip Foster who married Elizabeth Palmer 15th
October 1772 in Rickmansworth. The one child I know of, is Charles
Foster born 1774, he went onto marry another Elizabeth, but I do not
know her maiden name. Sometime after 1790 they were married and had
several children that we know about. Mary born on 1802, Thomas born
1803, Maria born 1804, Eliza born 1809, and Harriot born 1811.
It is Harriot Foster that interests us now because on 9th February 1833
she married William Martin in St Anne’s Church, Soho, as
mentioned earlier in the Martin section.
